Around the station and Coombe Lane

The centre of Raynes Park is the station and the shops along Coombe Lane and Approach Road. The railway divides the area, and the level crossings and one-way roads can make the last few hundred yards slow. When you book, give us your full address and say which side of the tracks you are on. It helps the driver choose the right approach.

Close to the A3

Raynes Park is right next to the A3, which joins the M25 at junction 10. That makes it a good starting point for Heathrow airport transfers, since the driver can pick you up and be on a main road within minutes. For Gatwick, the usual route is south via Sutton. We also run to Luton and Stansted on the M25.

Trains and commuting

Raynes Park station has regular South Western Railway trains to Wimbledon and Waterloo. When the trains are disrupted, or you are travelling with luggage, many people book a car to Waterloo instead. We are also asked to collect commuters from Raynes Park station late at night when the buses are thinner.

Families, schools and parks

Cottenham Park and the playing fields make Raynes Park popular with families. Parents can set up a school run taxi, and for dog owners, our pet friendly taxi can take a dog to the vet or somewhere further afield for a walk. Groups going out together can book a 6 seater.

Kingston and New Malden

Raynes Park sits between Wimbledon and New Malden, and many of our bookings here are short hops west. New Malden is known for its Korean restaurants and shops, and Kingston upon Thames, a little further on, has the Bentall Centre, the riverside and a busy evening scene. We can take you there and bring you back at an agreed time. If you are going to a restaurant, give us the exact address, as several are on side roads off the High Street.

Commuting when the trains are disrupted

When trains on the Waterloo line are cancelled or delayed, the station at Raynes Park gets crowded quickly. If you have an important meeting, a flight or a hospital appointment, you can book a car at short notice to take you all the way. Call the office for the quickest response, as demand rises fast on those days.

Neighbouring areas

From Raynes Park we also cover Wimbledon to the east and Merton Park along the Kingston Road, as well as New Malden and Motspur Park. See all our areas we cover.

Questions we get asked

How long does a taxi from Raynes Park to Heathrow take?

Typically 30 to 45 minutes, using the A3 and the M25 or the roads through Kingston, depending on traffic.

Do you pick up from Raynes Park station?

Yes. Tell us which side of the station you will be waiting on, as the railway splits the area.

Do you cover Motspur Park and West Barnes?

Yes. We cover West Barnes, Motspur Park and the roads around Cottenham Park.

Can I book a late-night pickup from Raynes Park station?

Yes. We run 24/7. Give us your train time and let us know if it is delayed.

Do you take people from Raynes Park to Kingston?

Yes. It is one of our most common short trips from Raynes Park. Give us the exact address in Kingston, as the one-way system means the driver needs to know which side of the town centre to head for.

Can I book a car when Waterloo line trains are cancelled?

Yes. Call the office for the quickest response, as many people look for cars at once when trains are disrupted. We can take you to your workplace, another station or an airport.
