Where trains from Euston go

Euston is the London end of the West Coast Main Line. Avanti West Coast runs fast trains to Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, North Wales and Glasgow, and London Northwestern Railway serves Milton Keynes, Northampton and the West Midlands. The Caledonian Sleeper to Scotland also leaves from Euston at night. Many of our Euston bookings are students heading back to university in the North or the Midlands, and families visiting relatives.

Arriving at Euston

The area around Euston has been a building site for some years because of the HS2 works, and the road layout and drop-off points have changed more than once. Our drivers follow the current signs and set you down as close to the station entrance as the layout allows. If you need help with heavy bags or have limited mobility, mention it when you book so the driver can plan the easiest spot.

Timing your journey

From Rosehill, the drive goes right through central London, so the time of day makes a big difference. A late-evening run can be well under an hour, while a Friday afternoon trip can take much longer. Please give us your train time, not just a pickup time, so we can check that the margin is sensible. If you are catching the sleeper, we are happy to collect you late in the evening.

Collecting you from Euston

For your return journey, send us your train details. We will arrange for the driver to meet you on a nearby road where private hire cars are allowed to stop, and tell you where before you arrive. If the train is delayed, let the office know. Journeys into central London during charging hours may cross the Congestion Charge zone. We will confirm when you book whether it is included in your fixed fare.

Students and luggage

Start and end of term means duvets, boxes and suitcases. A saloon may not be enough, so tell us what you are bringing. An estate car or a 6 seater MPV usually solves it. Parents arranging the trip for their child can book in their own name and give us the student's mobile number.

Travelling with older passengers or reduced mobility

If someone in your party needs help at the station, it is worth booking the railway's free Passenger Assist service before you travel, so staff can meet you and help you to the train. Tell us about it too, and the driver will drop you as close as possible to the meeting point. At the other end, give us the arrival time, and we will have a car waiting nearby when staff bring you out.

Related journeys

If your train leaves from King's Cross, it is only a few minutes along the road. For the Heathrow Express or trains to the West, see Paddington. For flights, our Heathrow airport transfers and Luton transfers may be more convenient. We collect for Euston from Sutton, Cheam, Wimbledon and every other place on our areas we cover page.

Questions we get asked

How long does a taxi from Sutton to Euston take?

Typically 55 to 70 minutes, but much longer in the weekday rush hours. Tell us your train time and we will suggest a pickup time.

Can you take me to Euston for the Caledonian Sleeper?

Yes. We run 24/7, so a late-evening drop-off is no problem.

Where will the driver meet me at Euston?

Private hire cars cannot wait on the station forecourt, so the driver will tell you where to meet on a nearby road before you arrive.

Can you fit a student's luggage for university?

Tell us how much you are bringing. An estate car or a 6 seater MPV usually has room for bags and boxes.
