A Rosehill cab firm that knows the local roads
We are based on the Sutton and Merton border, right by the Rose Hill roundabout, where Reigate Avenue, Bishopsford Road, St Helier Avenue, Wrythe Lane and Green Lane all meet. That position matters more than it sounds. Our cars are close to St Helier Avenue towards Morden and Wimbledon, the A217 south to the M25, and the St Helier estate roads that satnavs often get wrong. When you book a taxi in Rosehill, your driver is usually coming from nearby rather than across London.
Most of our work is the kind of trip where timing really counts: an early flight, a train you cannot miss, a hospital appointment at St Helier, or a school pickup that has to happen at the same time every day. We would rather tell you honestly how long a journey is likely to take than promise a time we cannot keep.
Taxi, minicab or car what you are booking
People search for a Rosehill taxi, Rosehill taxis, a minicab, minicabs, cabs or simply cars, and they usually mean the same thing: a car and driver to take them where they need to go. Strictly speaking, we are a minicab (private hire) firm. That means every journey is booked in advance through our office, by phone, WhatsApp or online, and the price is fixed before you travel. Black cabs are the ones you can hail in the street and are paid by the meter. Whatever you call it, if you want a car at your door in Rosehill, St Helier or Morden, we are the local firm to ring.
Airport transfers from Sutton and Morden
Airport runs are a large part of what we do. From Rosehill we cover all five main London airports, and each one has its own guide with routes, pickup points and typical journey times:
- Gatwick airport taxis are our quickest airport run. The A217 outside our office is the same road that finishes at the northern edge of Gatwick.
- Heathrow airport transfers usually go west via Kingston or the M25, depending on the time of day.
- London City Airport cabs suit business travellers heading to the Docklands.
- For longer runs north, see our pages on Stansted airport transfers and Luton airport taxis.
For airport pickups we track your flight, so an early or late landing does not leave you stranded. If you choose meet and greet, your driver waits inside the arrivals hall with a name board. For drop-offs, we will suggest a pickup time that leaves room for traffic and check-in.
Taxis to London's main railway stations
Sutton has good trains, but not every journey fits the timetable. Heavy bags, a late-night arrival or a group travelling together can make a door-to-door car the easier choice. We take passengers to and from Victoria station, Waterloo, London Bridge and Charing Cross south of the centre, and further north to King's Cross, Euston and Paddington for Eurostar, sleeper and long-distance services.
Services for particular journeys
Some trips need a little more planning than a standard car. We have separate pages for each of these so you can see exactly what to tell us when you book:
- A school run taxi in Sutton for regular term-time pickups, with child seats on request.
- A pet friendly taxi when your dog or cat needs to travel with you, to the vet or further afield.
- A hotel transfer taxi between your hotel and an airport, station or venue.
- A 6 seater taxi or a 7 seater taxi when the family, the team or the luggage will not fit in a saloon.
Which car do you need?
We run four types of vehicle. The right one depends on how many people are travelling and, just as often, how many bags you are bringing.
| Vehicle | Good for |
|---|---|
| Saloon | Local trips, station runs and airport journeys for one to a few passengers with standard luggage. |
| Estate | The same number of passengers as a saloon, with a longer boot for suitcases, pushchairs or golf bags. |
| 6 seater MPV | Families and small groups who want to travel together in one car. |
| 7/8 seater | Larger groups, or smaller groups with a lot of luggage for a long trip. |
Not sure? Tell us the number of passengers and bags when you book, and we will send a car that fits.
How booking works
- Get your price. Enter your pickup, destination and time in the booking form at the top of this page, or call us on 020 3468 0904.
- Confirm the details. Add flight numbers, child seat requests or anything the driver should know.
- Travel. Your driver arrives at the agreed time, and the fare you were quoted is the fare you pay.
You can also message us on WhatsApp if that is easier, which suits many people booking on the move.
Fixed fares, paid your way
Every fare is fixed when you book, so there is no meter running while you sit in traffic on the A3 or wait at the lights in Morden. You can pay by card or in cash. If your plans change, contact us as early as you can and we will do our best to rearrange.
Areas we cover around Rosehill
We work across the London Boroughs of Sutton and Merton and well beyond. Our local guides cover minicabs in Sutton town centre, Carshalton, Cheam, Mitcham, Wimbledon, Merton Park, Raynes Park and Colliers Wood. For the full list, see the areas we cover. If your road is not listed, ask anyway, because we probably go there.
Questions we get asked
Are you a minicab firm or a black cab company?
We work with private hire minicab operators. That means every journey is pre-booked through us, by phone, WhatsApp or the online form, rather than hailed in the street.
Can I book a Rosehill minicab for right now?
Yes. The office works 24 hours a day, so you can book a car for as soon as possible or for any time in the future. For airport runs and early starts, booking ahead is always the safer choice.
Do you charge more at night or on bank holidays?
Your fare is fixed at the time of booking and shown before you confirm. Whatever you are quoted is what you pay for that journey.
Can you pick up from St Helier Hospital?
Yes. Tell us which entrance you will be waiting at when you book, and we will pass it to the driver so you are not left searching for each other in the car park.
How do I request a child seat?
Mention it when you book, along with the child's age, and we will arrange a car with a suitable seat. Child seats are provided on request, so please do not assume one is fitted unless you have asked.
