The village and the ponds
Carshalton village grew up around its two ponds, fed by springs from the chalk. All Saints Church, the Honeywood Museum and a row of pubs and cafés sit around them. It is one of the prettiest corners of the borough, but parking is tight and the one-way loop around the ponds can confuse drivers who do not know it. Ours do. Tell us whether you are by the ponds, near the station or up towards The Grove, and we will pick you up there.
Carshalton Beeches and the south
South of the railway, Carshalton Beeches has its own station and parade of shops, with wide residential roads beyond. Journeys from the Beeches to Sutton, the Royal Marsden in Belmont or the A217 for Gatwick are all short. When booking, please say whether you are in Carshalton, Carshalton Beeches or Carshalton on the Hill, as they are quite different pickups.
St Helier Hospital
St Helier Hospital is on Wrythe Lane, on the Carshalton side of our patch, and only a few minutes from our office. We take patients and visitors there every day and can collect you afterwards. Tell us the entrance you need when you book. For regular appointments, ask about booking the same pickup each time.
Families and local trips
Carshalton families use us for school runs, trips to the station and nights out in Sutton. Pet owners going to the vet can book a pet friendly taxi, and groups going further afield can use a 6 seater.
Airports and stations
From Carshalton, Gatwick is about 40 minutes south in normal traffic, and Heathrow is to the west. For eastern airports, see London City. Our London Bridge and Victoria station taxis are popular for trains into town with luggage.
Beddington Park, Wallington and Croydon
East of Carshalton, Beddington Park stretches along the River Wandle towards Croydon, and Wallington has its own station and shopping street. Many of our Carshalton bookings go further east to Croydon for shopping, concerts, or trains from East Croydon, which has fast services to Gatwick, Brighton and London Bridge. A car to East Croydon can be quicker than changing trains, especially with luggage.
Regular trips and standing bookings
If you need the same journey often, such as a weekly appointment, a school pickup or a shift that starts before the buses run, we can set up a regular booking. Give us the days, times and addresses, and we will keep it on our system. You only need to call if something changes, and we will try to send the same driver where possible.
Neighbouring areas
From Carshalton we also cover Sutton and Cheam to the west and Mitcham to the north, plus Wallington, Hackbridge and Beddington. See all our areas we cover.
